The strategic position of the hotel, situated
in the splendid Canavese countryside, allows
quick and easy access to the Lanzo Valleys.
Moreover, it is just half an hour from the
mountains and glaciers of the Aosta Valley,
and one hour from the so called "Olympic
Mountains". The ideal location to treat
yourself to some well-earned relaxation in
touch with nature, and perhaps to engage in
a little sport.
A visit to the region's capital really is
a must, with splendid monuments and buildings
such as Palazzo Madama, Piazza Castello
and Palazzo Reale (the Royal Palace),
Consolata, Valentino Castle,
the Mole Antonelliana, a symbol of
Turin and its people, and the Duomo (Cathedral),
which houses the Holy Shroud.
Volpiano is also just a few kilometres from
the Reggia di Venaria Reale (a famous
royal residence in Venera, just outside Turin),
where the Savoy family would go to relax and
to hunt.
It was built according to the will of Carlo
Emanuele II in the second half of the seventeenth
century, and extended during the 1700s. |
